It is magnificent in this realistic style where the characters stand out but the backgrounds are chock full of the city in which the story is set! You can tell we are in the hands of experience as the framing is superb! Really can't say enough about the art.īECAUSE I haven't read Tokyo Ghoul I was a little lost at moments. I'm actually happy that I never got to read the original series first because it allowed me to give Tokyo Ghoul:re a chance without any bias.Īs with all manga I was drawn to the ART first. I think I thought this was the acclaimed Tokyo Ghoul series just come to America but I realize after reading the first volume that it can't possible be anything other than a sequel. Will he and the members of his squad become heroes or monsters, taken out by the other squads in the Commission of Counter Ghoul.?! In the sequel series to Tokyo Ghoul, Haise Sasaki has been tasked with teaching his special squad of half-ghouls how to be outstanding Investigators, but this is complicated by the troublesome personalities of his subordinates and his own uncertain grasp of his Ghoul powers.
